Barry has extensive experience in areas of Asylum, Immigration, Human Rights and Judicial Review. He regularly appears at tribunals in a relation to a variety of asylum and immigration matters representing clients from a wide range of countries including China, Middle and Far East, Libya, Syria, Sudan and Sub-Saharan Africa. 
Barry also deals with applications for leave to remain and settlement; naturalisation, family reunion; and applications under EEA regulations:, as well as instructing Counsel for the Court of Session relating to Judicial Review and Hearings in the Upper Tribunal.
Barry graduated with an LLB degree from Glasgow University. He remained at Glasgow University to complete his Diploma in Legal Practise. He completed his traineeship in 2003, gaining experience in general practise in asylum and immigration, civil and criminal law. Thereafter, following his qualifying as a solicitor, he moved to a large city centre firm in Glasgow, where he gained further experience in asylum immigration, family, civil, criminal law and private client work.
He joined Katani and Co. in February 2017. He is committed to providing the best possible service to his clients to ensure the best possible outcomes for them.
In his spare time, Barry enjoys spending time with his family. He is a keen follower of football and enjoys keeping fit and walking when family commitments permit.
